STORYVezh'a is an enigmatic soul that wanders the realm in pursuit of realizing a dream of bringing balance to a world full of strife. He is earnest and stalwart in his beliefs, but is slow to open up, often preferring to keep most people at arm's length. He has a penchant for brooding and silence, often going long periods without interaction with others. As a result, he is usually more than happy to entertain a stranger with a conversation before once again fading into obscurity for a time.When not hunting eldritch horrors or studying the magicks of civilizations long since dead, he enjoys gardening and tending to his crows. Additionally, Vezh'a has recently opened a tearoom/apothecary that serves as a front for him to conduct business that requires a bit more discretion.Though he is a hunter of things that do no belong, there have lately been rumors of the enigmatic figure consorting with the very creatures he is purported to hunt. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen.

His irises sometimes seem to glow with a defiant fire, casting their pale light out from his eyes.Hair: Black, with a raven sheen.Teeth: Several sharp canines, with four sharp points on the top and two on the bottom.

Writer 21+Will write: Mature themes, dark themes, mostly anything as long as it's discussed beforehand. I do enjoy writing smut as well, but I find it's better when there is buildup!I do have an f-list for those interested in that side of things, feel free to ask for it.What I'm looking for: Meaningful and impactful short or long term plots. I prefer a mix of of action, drama, hurt/comfort, with some slice of life thrown in. Stories that push the involved characters to grow. The Arcane: He has quite an interest in arcane artifacts and concepts, especially those from the War of the Magi and the encompassing age. Perhaps you have such an artifact, and are curious about what it could be and want an outside opinion, hearing rumors of someone with an interest in such items. Perhaps you are looking for something specific and want a lead.Teahouse: Vex runs a small cafe in the Shroud, the Black Magic Teahouse. It is a genuine business that he occasionally uses as a front for his more discreet enterprise. The front of house serves the customers, and the secret backroom is where he conducts most of his meetings for his other ventures, especially his artifact purveying.A Cat in the Cold: It has been said that there is a certain lesser noble house in Ishgard that, once upon a time, produced a child out of wedlock to a Miqo'te woman that lived in Dravania, and that said child has been invited back to the House - A Miqo'te of tall stature and striking silver eyes.Voidsent: First and foremost, he is a hunter of those damnable creatures born of the Void. Wherever they may crop up, he will be ready and waiting to see them to their deaths - perhaps you need help hunting a specific one down, or maybe you need an expert’s opinion for a cleansing.Voidsent, but... : That being said, just because he is a hunter does NOT mean that he sees Voidsent as wholly evil or irredeemable. He does not see this issue as black and white, and typically takes a very measured approach to his dealings and has not only spared Voidsent in the past, but has actually befriended them, having met plenty of Voidsent or Void-touched that have had goals similar to his own. I'm especially interested in these kinds of plots.Gardening: Despite his brooding and arguably antisocial attitude at times, he has a particularly strong love for gardening, and has an immaculate garden of flowers and foliage around his home. He semi-frequently visits the Botanists’ Guild to procure seeds and materials; perhaps you’ve seen him there once or twice and thought him very out of place. Maybe you’ve caught him gardening one day and want to offer a few words of praise.Mercenary work: Not as common for him to engage in these days, though he isn't averse to accepting a bit of coin for an excursion into a dungeon, a bandit pit, etc. He's more likely to be interested if there's some type of supernatural aspect, but that doesn't mean he'll flatly decline more normal jobs.For those with aethersight or something similar: If your character is sensitive to aether or can otherwise sense aether signatures, his is markedly abnormal. Ask about this one if you're interested!Worldstrider: Vezh'a is a well-traveled character, and has been to many places and more, and it is not out of the realm of possibility for him to end up somewhere unintended or unexpected.

Vex's Gear

Below is a selection of items and gear that may be found on Vex at most given times while he's hunting.

EventideThis blade, forged by a family long lost, carries with it the thrumming energy of the Abyss. Set in the blade is a magical stone known as a shadowgem, a dark, translucent stone that easily conducts and amplifies ancient magic.

Moonsilver VenomThis substance, comprised of boiled tree sap mixed with silver dust blessed under the light of the full moon, causes deep wounds that do not heal easily when used to attack those born of the Void. The silver dust sparkles gently, emitting a faint and pure light.

Enchanted Crow's SkullThis crow's skull, enchanted by deep and ancient magic, allows the holder to transfigure their body into that of a crow or raven.It's said that there was once a tribe of dark-worshipping druids that held these skulls in order to take the form of their avian companions, but they have long since disappeared from the minds and hearts of others.

WIPThe Black Magic Teahouse is a small, intimate shop that offers freshly made teas, coffees, and occasionally baked goods to one and all. The teas are mostly blended in house, though the establishment does carry some more exotic blends from around Hydaelyn.Menu coming soon!
